    Haul..Heatherette..FOTDs

i couldn't think of a better title..i was going to put been MIA forever but it seems like most of the girls here have been busy too and have used that for their titles..see, i'm not the only one, am i?..So most of you would probably understand that, yes, there's more to life than just blogging..don't get me wrong though, i really love to blog, post FOTDs, hauls, and random venting outs and rants..It's just that this week, i've been really busy and super exhausted..Plus, the looks i've done recently are looks that i've posted here before, so no point, really..aye!..no mas ideas for looks anymore..so to squeeze what's left of my creative juices, i did a haul last Saturday..

Of course i went to the counter Leesha works at..She did my make-up using Heatherette stuff..i believe it's the same look she did a tutorial on..you can youtube it..:)..She was super cool and nice..and i really had fun, the boyfriend even said he had fun too..So on to my haul and my FOTD courtesy of xsparkage

Ooh..i couldn't resist getting the Heatherette Trio 2..my addiction has won me over once again..The shiny pink packaging did it!..Also, I was thinking, since Fertile e/s (exact dupe of Cassette *dark purple*) is LE, might as well get a "back up"..

    Here's a comparison:

    and without flash

Left is Fertile e/s from the Strange Hybrid collection and Right is Cassette from Heatherette Trio 2..but it really doesn't matter which is which 'cause they're EXACTLY the same..hmm..

    Fafi-fied

I went to MAC today to get my Fafi!.. : )

The long wait is finally over..i can't even remember when i first found out about this color story, but i am damn sure it was a long time ago *thanks to fellow bloggers, Pursebuzz and of course, Specktra*. It kinda sucked that i wasn't able to get 'em on the release date itself, because i had to work and the free standing store is a bit far from us. But. everything's okay now, i am happy.. : ) ..
So i mentioned in my last night's entry that i called MAC last night to have the stuff on hold to also make sure that my MA gets her commission..so i entered the store, i looked for Hilda *the girl whom my MA endorsed me to* and she brings out this big bag filled with the Fafi stuff with my name on it..i just heard the heavens sing..not as loud though when i went to the Pro store in Vegas, but you get the idea.. hehehe..My MA, Christine, had each and every single item from the collection on hold for me..lol..i was just suprised. :) Then, i also had my make-up done, good thing they weren't fully booked today, or else i would've been so disappointed since i really wanted that freakin' cute heart painted on my face. : )

Hmm..so the stuff that i got..Hmm..i KINDA got carried away..tsk..i know most of you ladies were disappointed with this collection since colors weren't as vibrant as the packaging, some were even disappointed with the packaging itself since the design wasn't painted but were just stickers..But here i am thinking, "well, since i'm collecting, might as well, get most of the stuff"..and it can't be that bad, right..MAC is still MAC..if that makes sense. I mean, i was already all giddy and excited about this collection to pass up on most of it..I was also surprised that everything that i got was under $300..well, that's for Fafi alone..and another $30 something for 1 blush and an eyeshadow refill pan..

    here are the pics:

of course i had to take a picture of the display..which weren't complete at that time..But it still looks pretty!

    My Haul.. : )

i only took one picture since i honestly think the look that she did on me wasn't that good.. : ( but of course, gotta love the heart!

long overdue!!..my 2nd MAC make over

..was only a day after my first. i must tell you though, this wasn't planned at all. i just wanted to visit the MAC at the new mall in Gilbert. *duh!! like it's going to be any different from the one i always go to..haha..anyhoo, an MA which is also a trainer for all MAC stores in Arizona, offered to do my make-up. . She recognized me, **she was also at that other store where i got my 1st makeover..
So, she sat me down and started applying make-up on me. She would explain each and every step she did. The look that she wanted to achieve was subtle, concentrating more on having a perfect complexion..doing highlight and contour..her words "you know when people look at you, they compliment your MAKE-UP, this look, they look at you, they close their eyes and what they remember is how beautiful you are"..loves it..

    products she used on me:

    Skincare:
    wipes
    Moisturizer: strobe cream

    Face:
Studio Fix Fluid in NC40 (applied using 168)
Studio Stick Foundation in NW 45 (contour, applied with 168 as well)
Studio Touch-Up Stick in NC 15 (highlight, finger)
    Blush:
    Sweet William blushcreme

    Eyes:
    Lingering (brows)
Metal-X shadow Pure Ore (finger used)
    Cork (crease; 224)
    Blacktrack Fluidline (upper lashline; 209)
    PlushLash

    Lips:
    BBQ pencil
    High Tea l/s

    The Face Chart:

    The Face:

    the famous creasing shadow:

    my thoughts:
this makeover is super different..meaning, a look that i am not so much used to. First, the foundation gave me full, THICK coverage which was really new to me since i just started wearing foundation, and i prefer, light application. Then, the contour which was like 92740 shades darker than mine, looked weird for a second, but it came out pretty good. the whole look was very simple, not too much colors used but turned out pretty. One thing i didn't like was, that she didn't use a setting powder of any sort, so it felt really icky..and looked oily, i don't know if it was really supposed to be like that, but i personally didn't like it. ooh and also the metal-x shadow creased on me big time, well probably to most of you too..i had high hopes for this collection 'cause of the beautiful vibrant colors, i was diappointed. i ended up getting only one which was Fusion Gold, that i think i'll use as highlight colror. i want to get maybe a couple more, but i'm not sure yet, i might have to read on more "remedies" for these cream shadows.

    oh..the semi-haul (not pictured):
217 (does wonders, hard to clean though)
    Metal-X Shadow in Fusion Gold
    ..that's it!..i know..Congratulations to me..haha

anyhoo, i have been busy lately..tired most of the time, work work work.. it has been a long time since my last post..i even forgot that i had my own blogspot..lol..i'll try to update more often.

also, i changed my blogspot name--AGAIN--back to the first one..gaaaah i can't seem to make up my mind..

    *yawn*

have two more entries i want to finish tonight..hopefully, i get to do it.

My 1st MAC make over and well..another haul

October of this year was when i joined the band wagon of MAC addicts..i know it's a little too late for someone who has had love for make-up basically all her life..Pursebuzz and Stephie are to blame for my addiction..lol..kudos to both, i am in love. Don't get me wrong though, i still have love for my drugstore make-up..for example: i don't think i'll ever be able to find a replacement for my Maybelline Great Lash mascara..anyhoo, enough of the babbling..
Since i had this like list of stuff to get, i thought, why not get a make over too, it comes free with the purchase anyways..So i did. i didn't have like a certain look in mind that i wanted so i just told the MA to do what she did with hers. She also helped me pick the right foundation because i just started wearing one and a drugstore brand let me down :(..shock of my life right?..here i go babbling again..on with the looks and the haul..the MA, did an intense*at least for me* look on me..it wasn't heavy at all so i really like it. she used falling star on my lids, a light brown e/s, handwritten from the matte2 collection, then mylar for the highlight. here are some pictures..

and since i didn't like any of my full face shots, i opted posting this picture with my bf

the haul: i got a few things that wasn't even on the list i had in mind. these were the products used on my on my make over..
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
i was supposed to get falling star, but it was discontinued so i got expensive pink instead, which is like a lighter version of falling star. then, i got ricepaper instead of mylar, i think i can work with it more because ricepaper is more on the neutral side, mylar is just too white. i also didn't get the light brown shadow she used for the crease because it didn't play a big role on the look..as for the brush set, i was originally going to get the full size version of the 187 brush, but i thought, for $6 more, i'll be able to get three more brushes, and the clutch was too cute to pass up on, so i was like, heck, i'll give it a try.. i like it so far.. 187se is really soft and it doesn't hurt my face, the 168se does a lil bit though..other than that the brush set was worth my money..what else..i also got the Mi' Lady eyeshadow. i haven't tried wearing red nor purple, i think those two colors would be a good combo for a bruised eye..lol..i got it coz of all the good stuff i read about it and also because it's LE..i luuurrrveee limited edition products! Stores are always out, they had it when i went, so i grabbed it! i actually did a look today using Mi' Lady, and i liked it, i think i need more practice with it though. i also got technakohl in graphblack because..uhm..well..lol..i don't know..i just got it..haha..i liked it because it didn't smudge when she used it on me. that's pretty much it. (it's weird coz i'm not even sure if someone actually reads my blog..i guess i have to start somewhere, right?)..i'll be posting more tomorrow..good night!
