It's been a grip since I did one of these because I always forget to take pictures after I do a look, so Yay me for remembering this time!

So I recreated one of Makeupbyleinabaaaby's look that she did a tutorial on youtube, it was her Rihanna Inspired Clubbing Look video. I wanted to recreate the look because it reminded me of this one eyeshadow that I got a few years that I never really used, Smashbox's Smashing Optic which is a gorgeous bright blue eyeshadow!

Birthday 2010 Part 1

This post is so long overdue..But then again, better late than never.

So i turned the big TWO FIVE last 18th of October. waaaah, I'm getting old! My bf then *husband now* took me out for my birthday, we went to my favorite sushi place for AYCE. Yum! (We just went there again last night. Lol!) I can seriously eat sushi everyday, I'll probably turn into a sumo.. lol

I love this place, it's only $20 per person, so super cheap. But the sushi is awesome, everything's fresh! I'll let the pics do the talking.

My Go-To Look

When my creative juices are running dry and I can't think of what look to do, I always turn to one of my favorite eyeshadows, Satin Taupe. It's just so versatile, you can wear it during the day and smoke it out at night. And that was what I exactly did yesterday. Wore the daytime look then I just transformed it to a night time look simply by smoking it out, adding liner and false lashes. Saves me a lot of time, I swear, instead of taking off and re-doing everything, I just do this.

This was actually the third time we saw him and sure is the last.. Good thing our tickets were comped. I would have been pissed if we paid to listen to trash..haha..

Another Night Out..Another Dance Floor..

Oh well Hello there!

Long time no blog. Now i have more time in my hands, what better way to ~~waste~~ spend it than to blog. right?

I haven't blogged in so long I don't even know what to blog about anymore. I haven't had anything interesting happen, make-up wise. I can't even remember the last time I bought make-up. Soooo..

I am just gonna blog about last Saturday's happenings..

My friend invited us to go out. Clubbing to me is meehhhh, been there, done that, same shit shit, different toilet kinda thing. I'm really tired of it, about a year and a half ago i think i did all the clubbing one is supposed to do during their lifetime. in other words, i overdid it. So every time someone invites us to go out, it's either we say yay, and not show up *i know it's fucked up* or we straight up decline. Last Saturday, i guess was different story, since we haven't gone out in awhile, i was just like "whatever, let's go, we can always go home if it's whack" so we went.. It was a last minute thing so obviously i didn't have anything planned to wear, I remember complaining to my friend "I have nothing to wear" she goes "B*tch, you have so many clothes I'm sure you'll find something..haha..True enough, i have this romper that I've never worn, paired it with heels and voila, outfit!

Enough of the boring stuff, i think i'll let the pictures do the talking.

So clever me forgot to take a picture of my outfit, good thing i almost always take a picture when i'm trying on something, so here's the romper (a pic i found in my phone)

quick story about this romper: i actually tried this on a looooong time ago, i was gonna buy it but it was like $28, so i passed. I draw my limit on rompers at $20 so this clearly didn't make the cut. then a few days ago when i visited f21, i found it on clearance for $13.99..score! i know i'm pretty frugal when it comes to buying clothes. :)

What better way to end the night than sober up, eat breakfast at 4 in the morning.

A Project of Some Sort

I did this thing a couple month's ago for my friend's (now ex-friend..lol..long story) cousin. She needed to interview a "make-up" artist and also show a quick make-up demo. Here's the finished product..Almost 2 hours of work squeezed into less than 2 minutes-video. A whole lot was cut so this is not really a tutorial or anything like that but i decided to show you anyways for the sake of updating with something make-up related. Hope you guys like it.

So when i checked my blog yesterday, I saw the 1st comment and i kinda laughed and i thought, really?..really?..the person couldn't have made it more obvious than it was who he is..lol..so i was like, whatever dude, i replied to the 1st comment with "oh well, then don't support my blog.. :)" So then I checked back later that day only to see another hater comment in which i assume is the same person who wrote the 1st one.

*****i know i never really stated on my blog why my ex and i broke up. what happened is something that i chose not to broadcast or elaborate on my blog since i wanted to keep it personal, plus nobody really cared..LOL.. I don't claim to be innocent or whatsoever but lemme just say that the new man and i happened after the ex and i broke up..i must admit though that it was very shortly after the break up..what can i say though, everything just fell into place QUICKLY..lol..I am happy now and that's what should matter right?..

So whoever this "anonymous" commenter is, i just want to say, again, I am happy now and there is nothing you can do or say to make me feel otherwise. Your hatred and bitterness won't change anything. My life's so much more peaceful now. I have obviously moved on and i hope someday SOON you do too. There's nothing really much to say..

Inked For Life

So i got my tattoo yesterday..

I've been wanting one ever since i can remember..it just took me forever to actually decide on what to get..the only dilemma *last minute* i had was what font to get it in, i was leaning towards Old English cuz i thought Latin would be nice written in Old English, my boyfriend was totally against it, he said it's too gangsta..haha..then when i was looking at fonts (in the parlor) i saw "libra font" and thought it's actually pretty cool, and I'm a Libra too so i got that instead..plus the tattoo artist said, his exact words "I'm a tattoo artist and the ones i see getting Old English are Gangsta, Gang-Bang Motherfuckers"..lol..

So here are the pics and one of the videos, my friend made sure that this experience of mine was well-documented.

Before leaving the house..cam-whore..this has been the face I've been wearing lately, that explains why i haven't posted new FOTDs..i also stopped wearing foundation, just 'cause..me and foundation have like a love-hate relationship..lol..

Overall experience, it was fun..I'm soo excited about it..lol..and the pain?..it wasn't as bad as i thought it would be..before i got it, i actually thought i was gonna cry and not be able to take it..Not a single damn tear..haha..the annoying part is having to wash it every 4 hours..*sigh*..i gotta do what i gotta do..

My boyfriend, of course only saw pictures, at first he didn't like it and thought it was a lil too big than he expected, but he said as long as i like it, he's happy..lol..i just didn't want to get a small one and be like "Damn, i should've gotten it bigger!" later on..so i'm really happy with the outcome..

this is my first but definitely not my last..

i know i haven't posted any FOTDssss in like foreverrrr...so here are the looks i've worn in the past, not too long ago, most of these, are looks i've worn to the club..nothing too dramatic though..hope you likey.

If you have been following my blog, you probably know that my boyfriend got deployed and was sent to Texas about 2 months ago.

My friend invited me to his Aunt's house for NYE where all of our friends are going to be at..I wasn't going to go at all because i was sick as fuck..But then i ended up going since my friends were so persuasive..

I didn't know that it was because..

My man came home and planned to surprise me there..

On New Year's day itself, which is also our anniversary, we ate at Cheesecake Factory..

with a third wheel..ehh..i'm kidding..
He's lived here all his life but this was his first time eating there..

i only had a couple of bites since i was still sick..

I've been sick longer than i can remember..i rarely get sick but when i do, I GET REALLY SICK..so, sorry for not updating forever!!!and before i got sick i worked 13 hour shifts, 2 weeks straight, i was fucking tired, needless to say..

My boyfriend decided to be the best boyfriend ever and surprised me and came home on New Year's Eve!..It's the best gift ever..and well, the shopping that we're about to do once i get better..lol..j/k..so i'll probably not update for the next 2 weeks..i'll miss you..i'll still read all ya'lls, just won't update mine..

Here's today's FOTD, I was inspired to do something a lil bit colorful today..

I used MAC's Fresh Green Mix (marbled side) and the dark blue from Inter-view mineralize e/s trio..and on the lower lash line i used MAC's Blue pigment..

I mixed Studio Fix Fluid and Mineralize Satinfinish, i wanted a lil bit of a dewy look..

OMG, i feel like i haven't updated for the LOOOOONGEST time..oh wait, yea, i haven't!.. My MAC Collection '08

WARNING: This post is a bit pic heavy.

I've been meaning to do this post for awhile now, just never really got around to doing it til now. Nessa's post on her make-up collection also inspired me to do mine. It's been about a year or less since I started collecting MAC..It was around October when i first bought MAC eye shadows, Gold Mine and Black Tied *I still remember* although it wasn't 'til January when I started going all out with buying MAC, collection after collection, $200 there, $300 here, bla bla bla..It was Fafi when i went all out and spent almost $600, I feel stupid for it now, I don't even use half of the stuff I got from that collection..I've also kept the receipts from every MAC purchase, and let me tell you, I am not proud, shamed, actually..Oh well..I've changed..A LOT!..I cut way back on my make-up spending..I know how to control myself now. I don't feel like I have to get almost everything every time MAC comes out with new stuff, which is like every 2 weeks. I get that they recycle/repromote stuff every so often which is why I don't feel like I'm missing out when I don't get everything. Also, when I buy something, for example, an eye shadow, I make sure (at least try to) that i don't have anything similar. Like Nessa said, How many variations of Deep Truth do we really need?..Don't get me wrong though, I still buy stuff here and there, I'm present every time a new collection is out, let's just say, I'm smarter now..lol

By the way, I didn't include my other make-up from different brands like, Smashbox, Nyx, Stila, Micabella, and other drugstore brands. I only focused on my MAC collection.

This is a look i did using the new Mineralize Eye Shadow Trio "Inter-view"

I tried doing the Fafi eyes..bleh..failed attempt, i thought i looked pretty scary..

This was taken at the end of the night, so my 99 cent lipstick's all faded..

Pink's Kawaii Challenge

This is my first time ever joining or participating a challenge..I was a bit hesitant to join after seeing other ladies' entries, so creative. But my boyfriend who is ever so supportive convinced me to join, telling me that i can totally do it. I'm happy that i did. Fall Look

Unlike most girls out there, i am not too stoked about Fall..I'm more of a Summer girl. I prefer rocking bright colors, wearing sun dresses and tanning at 2 o'clock when the sun burns the most. There's something about Fall that just feels DARK..lol, if that makes sense..Plus, being in Arizona where temperature is still around 90's even 100's, it really is hard to even gear up for it. I won't wear boots just to be "in" when it's a 100 freakin Fahrenheit outside, ya dig?..I wear flip flops, heck i even wear them during winter..that's Arizona..

As for make-up, I've been wearing a lot of neutrals and smoky eyes lately..Of course I still occasionally rock them bright eye shadows, but I've been keeping it on the down low..

Here's a neutral, i guess you can call it my fall look..I don't remember exactly what I used..Lo siento mi chicas..Nothing special though, just neutrals and browns. I went a little heavier on the blush which i like to do when the eyes are so boring..I also paired it with SORTA bold lips, at least to me it is..One day, some day, i will conquer my fear of REAL bold lips..but for now, this is as bold as it can get..

Then here's a smoky eye that is a "regular" too..meaning, i've worn the same look more than twice..You can find the video tutorial here..This one was requested by katie (dimelook)..

I can't do this entry without a bright look. Since you ladies liked the purple look i posted a few weeks ago, you inspired me to wear it more. here's another version. I tweaked it up a bit though, used Hepcat e/s (gorgeous!!!) and Lovely Lily pigment, foiled as base to add another hue of purple. I also did a tutorial for this look, you can check it out here

Before i end this post. I'd like to thank all you ladies for your sweet comments regarding Rocky leaving. That makes me feel a lot better knowing that i have you to count on when he leaves..Thank you, Thank you..

A LiL Update..

I know i mentioned in my latest video that i was going to update this blog and catch up on all ya'lls..but, i haven't done so..so sorry!..

it's just that nothing's happening that's worth blogging about, really. i only work 2 days now so i don't wear much make-up like i used to..

plus, all i've been doing lately is trying to spend as much time as i can with my boyfriend who is leaving in about a month for 400 daysssss..damn..it super sucks!..i am so nervous 'cause for the past 2 years that we've been together, i've been very dependent on him, he takes me everywhere i want to go, being that he's been here basically all his life and i got here only 2 years ago, he pretty much took responsibility for everything, especially with bills and stuff--so that explains my ridiculous spending habit on make-up..aaand, i have never really lived by myself, i moved in with my boyfriend as soon as i left home..so this coming year should be interesting..oh God..*heart pounding*

where does f*cking time go, really?..it seems like we just found out that he's getting deployed and now he's leaving in a month..

Now we all know i was frustrated about MAC's new pigment content but i must admit, these are gorgeous colors, but still not worth $20 for a half-full jar. Like what Nessa said, now if they were $10 it would be okay. We can only hope for that my friend..lol

Look #1 Heritage Rouge
I fell in love with this pigment when i swatched it at the store. I was first hesitant to get it since i THOUGHT Cranberry e/s looks like it, i swatched it side by side though and they don't look similar at all..Heritage Rouge is a winner in my book..Uber-pigmented! It is a very rich burgundy color. Now, this may tend to look a little vampy or goth-ish, so be careful with what you'll choose to wear with it (shadows, lip color, blush)..Mine almost looked a little too vampy..

Btw, I didn't get any of the quads from the Cult of Cherry collection. they were blah to me. Nothing special. The only stuff i picked up from this collection was Jampacked l/g and Lightly Ripe l/s. And the 2 pigments from Overrich. I was going to get Museum Bronze pig. but for some reason they didn't get that one. I also might go back for a couple more lippies from the Cult of Cherry, any recommendations on what the MUST HAVES are?

Quick Rant

WHAT THE F*CK IS UP WITH THE NEW PIGMENTS???..(pardon my French)

They changed the net content (?), from 7.5g to 4.3g but still for the same price..So yea MAC, what up with that?..I've been wondering why the pigments i have bought recently have been coming half-full, I even asked a MUA and they said they still have the same content weight but just comes more compressed..But when i checked what weight it says on the jar, i saw 4.3g then i checked the older ones i have and those say 7.5..the website says 7.5 (even for the newly released Overrich Pigments). That annoys the hell out of me..You know MAC ain't cheap, but way to go on ripping us off, eh?..

*sigh*

and i know they raised their prices on all of their products except the pigments, but a .50c or even a dollar raise would have been better than reducing the content by almost half..

Now, i'm contemplating whether to return the ones that i just bought, and order samples instead online for $1.59 per 1/4 of a tsp, which is really what you just need for one color.. I love MAC pigments, they're gorgeous, we all know that, but Is $19.50 +tax worth spending on something less than 5grams?..really?

Tell me your thoughts on this..

***So i checked back on the website and it now states (in the product details):

7.5g / 0.26 oz or 4.3g / 0.15 oz
US$19.50

I then proceeded to ask an artist thru live chat and she said Mega-Rich and Mauvement have 7.5g in it while the rest only have 4.3g due to the difference in "density" of each pigment. I find this to be still a bit absurd because they are being INCONSISTENT, pigment is pigment, right?..I mean, do we pay less for Matte shadows as oppose to the Matte2 ones since the latter has better color pay-off?..really?

I also asked her, if this is only for the newly released pigments or will it apply to the permanent ones as well, and she said "Only for Overrich"..But i remember when i bought Old Gold (which is permanent)not awhile ago, i received a half full jar as well..INCONSISTENCY, my friends. The next time i buy a full size pigment (if i ever will), i will make sure to ask the SA/MUA to bring me out a few so I can pick one that's filled to the rim or closest at least..lol..No, seriously..

Ok, enough of the bitchin', my heart still belongs to MAC, let's just say we had a big fight but not big enough to "break-up" with it..haha..i'm a dork..haha..

The boyfriend got back from Oakland yesterday. We went to Scottsdale Fashion to go to the MAC freestanding store to pick up a few stuff..

My small haul:

i KINDA got palette-happy *i'm borrowing your term Christiana*..i have so many eyeshadows, they won't fit my traincase anymore...I need better, BIGGER make-up storage. My caboodles ain't cutting it anymore..And since i don't go to the freestanding store that often, i decided to stock up..I'm sure these will all be filled soon..:)

I also got a couple shadows from the Starflash collection; Grand Entrance and Glamour Check. The other two are Fig 1 (M2) and Texture e/s. I also got Peachykeen blush, Spiked brow pencil and Graphblack Technakohl which i needed since mine's about to retire soon..Oh and i included Gilded Green in the picture which i got a few days ago..

I wanted to get more stuff, nothing in particular, was just being greedy..lol.. but i thought i'll wait til Cult of Cherry comes out next Thursday..

I was going for a defined crease look, but i failed since i think i over blended it..

I took today off to be with my boyfriend..We mos def slept in til 11, i think..Then, We spent the rest of the day before he went to work, running errands..hehe..whateves, as long as we're together..

We passed by Costco to check if they have any MAC shadows, but instead i found these which i tried getting a couple weeks back, and they didn't have it..So what i'll do is check back next week to see if they have MAC shadows already..y'all know this girl can't pass up good deals..

I'm pretty psyched to use this..The brushes are super soft..I actually bought this set mainly for those..The shadows are aight..Very versatile IMO..so all in all..for $18.99+tax, it's a winner!

I also got my nails did last Thursday..I'm into glitter tips..But the bf thought the previous one (3d Silver inspired) i had was ghetto..So i got these instead, white tip topped with bigger chunks of glitter, it doesn't show that well here though..He actually likes this one..

So that's all for now..

This is sort of a toned-down version of a smoky eye..I think i've mentioned before that i have never rocked a genuine smoky eye, meaning black e/s on main lid area. i don't know what it is, but i am intimidated by that look as much i am by red lipstick..

My Face Products

Hi Ladies!

Eunice of www.acasia.blogspot.com asked me what products I use on my face. So here it is Eunice, nothing special. I just wanted to do a detailed post on it.

Foundation:

I don't really have a lot of experience with foundations since it hasn't even been a year since i started wearing some. I haven't really tried different kinds, i tend to stick to something I've found that works well for me. Enkoremakeup on youtube did a intensive review on MAC foundations awhile back, and that helped me a lot in picking my foundation. I use MAC's Mineralize Satinfinish. Here are the factors i considered when i picked this one, how much coverage it gives, the finish, how heavy/light it would feel on my skin, my skin type (combination; dry and oily on T zone). Being a newbie at wearing a foundation, i wanted to start with something that's not too heavy, it has a medium coverage which was okay, I only wanted enough coverage to give me an even canvas to work with. Since it only has medium coverage, it looks really natural, not like full coverage foundations which has a tendency to look like you slapped on a new face..lol..MSF (Mineralize Satinfinish)also gives a dewy finish which i believe is the trend now with foundation finishes, matte was sooo last season..lol.. It is also very important that you pick one that your skin likes, not one that will cause you break outs. The SPF 15 in it is just a plus for me since I already use a moisturizer that has the same SPF.

How i apply my foundation:

I make sure that i cleanse, tone and moisturize before anything else. I then proceed to applying my foundation. Since it's been SUPER hot, 110F-115F, i mix my foundation with Strobe cream making it even lighter (feel) than it already is, Strobe Cream also gives a really nice glow to my face. I use MAC 187 Duo-Fibre brush.

Next Step: Concealer

I use 2, both from MAC, Studio finish and Select Moisturecover for different areas. Studio finish for my blemishes and Select Moisturecover for my undereye area. Why not use one for both areas? Studio Finish is too creamy for my undereye area that it cakes, and Select is perfect for that. Also, for the undereye area, pick one that has pink undertones, this cancels out blue or darkness, while if you pick one with yellow undertones, your undereye area will tend to look ashy. With blemishes, i find that Studio finish works best since it gives more coverage than the other.

I apply my concealer after my foundation using a fluffy brush (i use Sonia Kashuk's blending brush)

Next: Setting Powder

Setting powder is very important so your foundation lasts longer. I use MAC's Mineralize Skinfinish/Natural. I like that it gives me a little bit more coverage. On days my skin feels uber oily i apply MAC's Loose/Blot Powder on my T-zone (after MSF Natural). I use MAC 182 Kabuki brush for MSF Natural and MAC 150 Large Powder Brush for Blot/Loose Powder.

You do not have to use the same products that i do. It is all about your own preference, what will work best for you. However I would suggest that you go to a counter/store where a Pro will be able to help you pick your foundation. If there's one make-up product i think you should spend extra on, it would be foundation or face products in general. Buying one at a drugstore to save a few bucks is not really worth it, since looking outside the bottle doesn't really guarantee the perfect match (shade-wise) on your skin, trial and error definitely won't save you money. Also, most counters have great return/exchange policy, just in case the one you picked didn't work for you.

Good News and Good News! My boyfriend's departure was moved, he was supposed to leave in October and now, he's not leaving 'til November, yay!..The other good news, we already found out where he's going, Texas, another yay!..Texas is so "near", hmmm, well, compared to Hawaii and Germany which WAS the other 2 possibilities..But of course, I'm still praying that they'll cancel but then again that might be asking for too much..lol..

July Haul

First off, thank you ladies for your comments regarding the news of my boyfriend's deployment. It's so hard and i still get emotional every night, just the thought of being away from him for that long scares the SH*T out of me. But for now, we're just spending as much time together as we can. But like you ladies said, i know we'll get through this.

So i have also mentioned in my previous post that i have DRASTICALLY*at least that's how i feel* cut down my make-up spending. I just can't justify spending $200-$300 on one collection every 2 weeks..That was only when i was still a newbie at MAC, and felt like i had a lot of catching up to do. But 101 eye shadows, i don't think i'm still a MAC rookie..lol..So yep..here's my tiny July haul..Most of the MAC lippies were courtesy of the boyfriend..He comes home one morning from work (he works nights) and i open my fridge and find MAC items, i was soooo surprised!

I also had to buy a darker shade of my Mineralize Satinfinish. From NC 37, i'm now NC 42..:)..*love it, i want to be darker though!*

i got the Lashes at a hole in the wall beauty supply store near the Asian store. Then the Smashbox shadows at Nordstrom Rack. I actually went back and got 2 more, just didn't take a picture of 'em. But these were a steal since these are regularly $16 i got them for $6.97 each!
I also bought Great Lash WATERPROOF since I've read in a lot people's blogs that Waterproof formula holds curl, and it really does, i just don't like how drying it feels like on my lashes so i don't use it anymore..

That's it..I know. I've been really good..I don't think i'm even interested in any of the Starflash shadows, haven't check them out though, but they all look like colors that i already have. Plus, i put myself on a slight "no-buy" this week..No clothes, shoes and NO MAC at all! Wish me luck..

No More Excuses..

I haven't been in a blogging mood for the past couple *?* of weeks..

Last week, we (the bf and i) received the news that he is being deployed for 14 months, we just don't know where yet..So these past few days were just emotional and super stressful..So sorry for the major lack of posts..

Watch me eat my words in my previous post as i said that i wasn't going to get any..MAC totally won on this one! I love the MES that just came out, they totally kicked the older ones' butt..these were nothing like the past ones, i wasn't expecting to get any, but when i swatched them at the store, i fell in love and went home with 3..i know, just three, i've majorly cut down my make-up expenses..but anyhoo, i love these babies because both sides are very soft and pigmented. I use the marbled side when i want a subtle color and the solid side when i want it BOLD.

I used both sides in this look, just didn't pack on the orange (solid side) a lot. Nonetheless, i like how this came out..:)

lol..it's a greeting in Filipino/Tagalog..it literally means "be alive", which i need to do with blogging..

No FOTDs yet, been wearing "repeats" so no point in posting them.

Tomorrow's a big day for all of us MAC fiends..anyone?..three words, Mineralize, Mineralize and Mineralize..So have you decided on what to get?..Well, i won't go too crazy especially now that my hours (at work) have been cut, SUCKS!..So i'm only planning to get New View in my shade, i think it would be great for the make-up kit..then a couple of Sonic Chic MSFs..Oh Lord please don't let all of then be gorgeous to my eyes, for they will be ugly to my pocket!..Now with the MES (Mineralize Eye Shadows), i don't know, i'm not very psyched about paying $17.50 for shadows that look really pretty in the pot but has shitty color pay-off..i have 2 (Mi' Lady and Family Silver) that i NEVER use..So i'll probably pass on those..

Been Gone For A Minute..

i got my nails done too, a couple of weeks ago..it's 3D glitter inspired..this is just my 2nd time ever getting acrylics, i hated the first time which was like a year ago, but i am definitely loving this one..i guess it's just a matter of where you get it done, if they're good or not..2 weeks and they're still intact!..it's good to know that my $40 has not gone to waste!

..but oh my, is it hard to type with them!

I'm Back in the Game

What a relief it is that I am finally done with fixing our new place..it's a big WHEW!..I did like 75% of the "fixing" since i wanted to be the one to decide what goes where. I've also adjusted to my sorta new job so i have more time blogging..I actually did my previous entry before i got ready for work..I surprisingly cut down my "getting ready" time which is really good, plus my work is not even 2 minutes away from our place which is even better..*sigh* i am so relieved!..

Whew!

i feel rested now..i was off the whole weekend, which i think was really needed..i had time to do my "chores" which included shopping for clothes for work..i never had to actually dress "nice" for work. all my previous jobs were either casual or had uniforms. (chef's uniform/work shirt)..i had an excuse to shop..lol..Charlotte Russe had a 5 for $20 deal, that was really FUN..and it's not even old stock or last season clothes, they're new stuff..yay!..good deal, good deal!..i was also able to go to Wal-Mart for toiletries, i was running out of a lot of stuff!..i also grabbed Rimmel's fix and Perfect primer and L'oreal's de-crease eyeshadow primer, i tried both today, they weren't bad..what else..hmm..i also found time to clean our house which was a RELIEF as it was staring to look like a pig's sty..our laundry was piling up too..aaah..i feel so accomplished!..Thank God!

so i had work today which wasn't too bad since my boss let me off earlier than usual..i actually had time to go to MAC..(tsk tsk tsk)..BAAAAAD!..i just grabbed a couple lippies from the Neo Sci-fi collection and an eyebrow pencil..THAT'S IT!!..NO MORE!..hmm..no fotds for now, i have a few to post later, but that will have to wait til i get home, i'm at my friend's house right now, and i don't have my cam..

okhaaay..laters!..i just wanted to fill ya'll in with how what's going on..hope ya'll had a great weekend too!..

is what i am..

I quit my job and started my new job last Friday. With training and my regular hours, i've worked 7 days straight..that makes 66 hours, oh plus one hour today..i am so exhausted..this has been by far the longest week ever!..*deep breath*..

I can't keep up with MAC anymore, collections are coming out left and right. I haven't even posted my Naughty Nauticals looks yet, here comes another..I hauled Neo Sci-fi and Solar Field yesterday, i went straight to MAC as soon as i got off work..I felt that i "deserve" it..lol..i didn't go crazy like i did on the past collections..i'm trying my hardest to cut down on my make-up expenses as the boyfriend and i are saving up for a new car and we're also planning to move to a new apartment soon..i picked up 4 things..yes ladies, you read that right, just FOUR!..2 eyeshadows, 1 blush and a beauty powder..eyeshadows that i got were, evening aura (the peachy-orange-y e/s) and the super GORRRRRGEOUS magnetic fields=LOVE LOVE LOVE..then i also picked up Spaced-out sheertone shimmer blush which i think is really gorgeous as a highlight color..then last would be Solar Riche, i mainly got that just for the compact..i might come back for a lipstick and a lipglass later, we'll see..none of the l/s and l/g appealed to me, i just want one of each for my collection..i don't know about you but i looooove the packaging..so LOUD, i love it!

6 Unspectacular Quirks:

1. Fake Purses make me cringe..it sounds so prissy, but i just can't stand it..i just think that there are non-branded purses that you can rock better than a knock-off..

2. I've kept all my MAC receipts since i started collecting last October..The total of all my MAC hauls is pretty scary..don't ask..it pisses the hell out off the bf!

3. I start hyperventilating *which my bf hates* when i get pissed..it is mostly about the house being messy..but i must admit i am laaazy to do house chores too..*tsk*

4. i think i "overclean" my make-up brushes..i have like over 40 brushes *and i want more* but i use the same ones always, i clean them every night!..most my MAC eye brushes sit pretty in my brush roll, unused just 'cause..WEIRD!

5. i'm never on time..if i'm not yet 10 minutes late, then i'm not late..ya dig?..lol..it's the FLIP in me, i guess..

6. i am very cheap with stuff other than MAC..i.e.: for clothes, i shop at F21, Charlotte Russe *i go straight to the clearance racks*..lol..and Ross too!..for drugstore make-up, i can't spend more than $5 for one item..but if it's MAC, $100 seems like nothing..super unspectacular!

Camera I Use for My FOTDs (Thanks Lani for the tag, sorry it took me AWHILE to post)

I've had a few people commend me for taking clear photos. I must say though, i only learned from the ladies here on blogosphere and i think there's a post about it too on Specktra..

I am not a tech-y kind of person so all i do is set it to Macro and shoot..i don't mess with other settings..i then upload and edit my pictures on Photobucket, i click on "auto fix", and that's about it..and no, i don't photoshop, simply coz i don't have it in my lappy and i don't know how..lol..

My camera definitely needs to retire soon, i'll probably get the same kind, but updated version with higher resolution/mega pixels..i like to stick to the same brand , so i don't have to get used to a totally different one..if that makes sense..lol..if only i can stop buying make-up then i can afford to get one..i might start making video tutorials..no promises though, but we'll see!..

ok the next 2 pictures were taken about 7-8 hours later..this is to show how much of a difference foiling pigments are..staying power is A-mazing, color was still as vibrant as it was first applied..and no crease too mommy!..lol

Heatherette Tutorial (pic heavy)

i did this awhile back, but only posted it on Specktra.net..but since i've been gone for like forever, i figured i needed Copy/Paste's help..lol

Let's get started..

Start with a clean, moisturized face, as always..

Conceal dark under eye circles (i blend Maybelline and MAC together with MAC 194 brush)

Now, apply your foundation with MAC 187 in stippling motions, then light buffing to get rid of streaks

Foundation and Concealer-DONE! (i didn't set with powder yet, i want my foundation to remain malleable until i'm almost done with the eyes)

i applied Bare Study p/p all over the lid (i used MAC 252)

Then i applied Other Worldly p/p on lower half of the lid as base for mood ring e/s with Studio Tools concealer brush (this will help intensify mood ring e/s)

i then applied mood ring e/s over Other Worldly p/p with a MAC 239 brush

it should look like this..

then with a MAC 219 pencil brush, i applied Cloudburst in the outer v and in the crease half way..

'un'blended, it looks like this..

Now blend and soften harsh lines with a MAC 224 blending brush

it should look like this so far..

Now take another blending/crease brush, sweep Pink Pearl pigment onto the crease, blend with cloudburst, this will also help soften cloudburst more

like this..

Now apply Hoppin' e/s with a 239 brush (sorry for the blurry pic)

i now fill in my brows with NYX Suede e/s using a Sephora #10 brush

then i lined my upper lash line with L'oreal HIP cream liner in black using MAC 208 angled brush

before i proceed further with lining my bottom lash line, i set my foundation with blot/loose powder using a MAC 150 powder brush

then now i proceed with lining my bottom lash line with soft sparkle pencil in pop blue (this will act as base for pink pearl pigment)

with a pencil brush i applied pink pearl pigment on top of pop blue pencil (blended, it looks more purple than pink)

i then lined my waterline with Black Funk pencil (uber soft and creamy)

I curled my lashes with Shu Uemura lash curler then applied Plushlash in Plushblack

This is how it look so far..

let's move on to the rest of the face..

i applied True Romantic BPB using a MAC 138 brush=LOVE!

i then contoured my cheeks with Sculpt powder using MAC 168 angled contour brush

Now the lips..

i applied Lollipop Lovin'

then Bonus Beat l/g for extra shine

DONE!!..Cam-whore away..

i think squishy faces are very flattering..lol

when in doubt, pout!..

and then cheeze it!

I visited maccosmetics.com earlier just to see what they're sold out of, then i saw that they "restocked" everything..meaning, all products are available again. So if you haven't grabbed your Heatherette yet, now is the best time to do so!..

i was asked by Nwyele of Coup de Coeur to list my beauty crimes..i believe i have quite a few..but then again, who doesn't?..so let's gets started with the confession..

1. I sometimes sleep with make-up on, this usually happens after hitting the club..i come home extremely EXHAUSTED and sometimes wasted too that i don't even bother taking off my make-up..

2. I pop my zits..i know..gross..i just can't resist doing it.

3. You've all probably heard this already but i take a long ass time to get ready..Let's say a good 2 hours, 2 hours and a half, including hair..Now you'll understand why the bf always pressures me.

4. I don't drink a lot of water, by this i mean..a gallon..per week?..which is like what is right for a person a day?..hmm..baaaahdd..this might change though, especially during Summer when it gets around 110 C, 115 C and sometimes even 120..*phew, i'm already sweating just thinking about it*-->going off the subject again..ramble ramble ramble..Oh and also, another thing, i don't get that much sleep either..i usually settle for 3-4 hours of sleep especially when i have to work super early in the morning..

5. Last, but not the least, probably the worst crime i am guilty of..SMOKING..eeew..haha..i know it's like really really bad..but oh well..it's another addiction i can't seem to quit..

Heatherette Haul and Swatches

I remember i woke up around 10:00 am the day this was released, and the first thought i had was, Heatherette!..so i woke the boyfriend up and asked him to drive me to the mall..Usually i would wait until the weekend to haul, since i have work, but with almost everything being temporary sold out on the site, i thought, I DON'T HAVE MUCH TIME, MUST HAUL NOW!..lol..i always have the fear of something i want being sold out..i didn't even care how i looked like, i just walked out the door and headed to the mall..lol..i was still half asleep when i got to the counter, i was like, where the heck is it?..the counter still had Fafi display in the middle..i was thinking, did i get the release date wrong?..then i looked further then i saw a ray of light shining upon me..haha..behold, Heatherette..haha..lol..ok maybe it was just me still dreaming..anyhoo, i didn't have much time since i worked later that day..but heck yea it's worth being late for!..i so wanted to take a picture of the display, but of course going gaga and wanted to just head to the mall, i left my camera at home..boo hoo..so i got down to business and started swatching..

lol..i can't think of a dumber title..hehe!

I just don't know where to start with all of these collections coming out..i mean, is MAC trying to gang up on us with all these releases, what, like a week or a few days apart?..aye yay yay!..why can't they do it at least every 2 weeks, so we'll be ready with our crisp paychecks..i seriously was caught off guard with the Heatherette collection being released a week early..i know everyone was just excited to get their hands on 'em and heck yea me too, but with the damage the beauty powder blushes has done to my pocket, i almost did not make it for Heatherette..lol..okay okay..a lil over dramatic..but you get the point..

they look very similar, even in person, i haven't tried swatching them side by side yet, but if you have Hipness, you might want to pass up on Joyous, or if you're a MAC whore like me, then get it!lol

left: Fashion Frenzy (Fafi) right: Sweetness (BPB)

i swatched them both at the store, and the only slight difference there is, is that Sweetness BPB just has more blue undertones than Fashion Frenzy. Sweetness is a tad bit brighter than Fashion Frenzy..but "brightness" can be easily achieved with layering which is basically applying more, right?..so, again, if you have Fashion Frenzy, then you'll probably don't need to pick up Sweetness..

then here are swatches..i forgot which is which..gaaah..well, just thought i'd post it anyway for preference how pigmented they are. i'm NC 37 by the way..

To wrap this up:
I really like how they are in between beauty powder and blush..(uh duh, hence the title)..i mean, they have enough pigment to be worn alone as blush, and the very minimal shimmer, or should i say sheen it has just gives you the right glow. i would say these blushes are goof-proof meaning you'll never go wrong with them..love!

this is actually the first time i've been tagged..so yay!..thanks Shawnta!..

Hmm..so now for my 5 must-not-haves
This is actually harder to think about than you're regular must-haves..but here goes:

1. a boyfriend who rushes you all the time when you're getting ready.-You'll just end up taking more time..TIP: train boyfriend to WAIT!..lol

2. NYC falsies..they're very wimpy, hence very hard to apply!

3. Maybelline Mineral Power POWDER foundation again, it made me itch like crazy!..i'm definitely happy with the liquid form though..

4. Maybelline Liquid Eyeliner..i just realized that this product sucks rocks *as Gezebel would say*..it won't even allow you to apply a 2nd coat 'cause the felt tip will wash out what's already on your lid..SUCKS!..i'll get Revlon next time!

5. Lipglosses in those twist thingy-majiggys that click click click..i don't know why, but after a few uses these things *the click click click* stop working on me..i stick to the old fashion sponge tip applicators and brushes..

The boyfriend and i went to the mall to check out the Beauty Powder blushes that were released last Thursday. And all i can say is i'm in blush heaven..:)i love 'em. They are really soft and pigmented, all of 'em have a slight sheen but not over-the-top shimmer..i love i love..i will post pictures and maybe an in depth review just 'cause i love 'em so much!..i actually did good, i was able to walk out the store with not spending over $200..i got 6 out of the eight shades..i was getting tempted into picking up more stuff, but this time i won over my addiction!..there's always tomorrow, you know..lol..i miss ya'll

C-Shock without the C-Shock, eh?

EDIT: This is last Monday's entry.

I stayed home alone all day yesterday, Rocky was in his military training. I got sooo bored i started watching Stephie's old videos and decided to recreate her C-Shock Look. However, i wasn't into MAC yet when this collection came out so i just used eye shadows which i thought came pretty close, from MAC as well. I forgot that i purchased this Non-MAC palette from some goth store awhile back which houses C-Shock dupe colors, i only realized i have this palette when i was almost done, and was just looking for a fuchsia e/s to line my lower lash line with. Dang, i own too much make-up, i don't even remember anymore what i have.. But yea, i will recreate this look again next time using just that palette..

Also, as much as i like how the eye make-up came out, i hated the face..i chose not to wear foundation, and wore just plain ol' loose powder instead..WRONG MOVE!..i think i applied too much concealer too..and with the help of NYX 629 power l/s, i totally looked dead..as in rotten dead..gross..oh and yea..break out galore too!

COLORS!

I haven't done a colorful make-up look lately..My neutral looks are getting a little old and boring so i decided to take my blues and greens out to play. I was inspired by the look i saw on the MUA at MAC today..i went to have my 223 exchanged for the 219. Since it was an exchange, and 219 is $5 cheaper i think, i got another eyeshadow. i asked 'em if they have any limited ones as i only purchase the permanent ones in pan refills. The MUA took out a box full of limited edition eyeshadows from different collections..i saw fab & flashy (from the C-Shock collection), they still had 2 of the Metal-X cream shadows (the blue and pink one) i passed up on those. They had a couple of the Mineralize e/s, Family Silver *which i already have* and Earthly Riches. i was going to get the latter but, i grabbed fertile e/s instead. I'm not actually sure on which collection it came out with but it's a really nice plum color and the best part is, it's Veluxe Pearl!..yay..i love Veluxe Pearl eyeshadows!!so anyhoo, i was inspired by the look the MA had on. i asked what colors she used, they were: Electric Eel, Aquadisiac, Gorgeous Gold and Tilt, then Indigo eye pencil..and the only eyeshadow i have among those is Aquadisiac..this calls for resourcefulness, i had to make-do with what i have..so here goes:

Inspiration: she actually swatched 'em on the back of my hand
she used soft ochre as base under gorgeous gold, tilt, electric eel then aquadisiac on top of electric eel

Rocky and i went to this almost "newly" opened outdoor mall yesterday. We were supposed to take Michiko with us but we felt that she was kinda sick *nose dry-not hyper sick*..so we just left her at home..oh my, was the weather gorgeous yesterday..it was super sunny, but not hot, hence the outfit in the picture later..the bf and i just wanted to walk around, we shopped a bit, but we went mainly to just hang out. i was trying my HARDEST not to go to MAC since the bf pointed out that i just had spent more or less $600 on make-up for the past 2 weeks..which is totally NOT good..damn you FAFI!..lol..but of course my addiction once again took over, we went..Hey, i just wanted to see if they still have the 180 buffer brush..since i couldn't find it on the website anymore..**i didn't even know it was SE**..and nope, they didn't have it..:( i really wanted a decent buffer brush to use on my IPPs, i've been using EoB blender? brush i think, and gaaah, it sheds more than Michi does..lol..then i wanted another crease brush, i don't know why, but i just wanted another one..the MUA was really rooting for the 217 which i already have, then the 222 just didn't feel right..so..i got the 223 instead *repromote of Raquel Welsh?*..then i was looking for a blush brush..the MUA recommended the 138..and i was like, heck no, $52 for a brush, no way..to cut this short..i still got it..hehe..so much for will power to refuse huh? like the MUA said, it's a good investment..so okay.

so why the title?..the MAC counter we went to was the counter where Alicia or better known as xsparkage of youtube works at..yay..i know, i was being a FOB and asked to take a picture with her..lol..

i was so shy but the bf insisted that i should do it, it will be interesting for the blog..He was actually the one who asked her..Then to top it all off, i bust out my camera, posed with her, the bf clicked, only to find out that it didn't have an SD card..so we instead used her camera..how embarrassing right?..she's really nice though..i'll definitely have her do my make-up one of these days!..

oh..so i get home, i tried using the 223, it is really soft and all..however, it just doesn't do the job..so i'm returning it today..i hate reutrning stuff, but if it doesn't work for me then why keep it right?

i just didn't have the time to take pics of THE haul. So now here it is, soooo long overdue!..

As i've mentioned in my past blog, i was going to haul more FAFI last Sunday..and i did!..yay!!.. :) Rocky and i started our day early. We wanted to do a lot of stuff since it's the first WHOLE day we're together since he got back from Louisiana *yep, he was gone for 2 weeks for his military training, it was such a bummer since i was alone for Valentine's, well the other baby kept me company..lol, but he's back, it's all good now!*..So we went to Scottsdale, of course for MAC. Again, i had stuff put on hold the day before, 'cause i am always afraid that they'll run out of the stuff that i want. We entered MAC and they all knew who we were..haha..they know me as the girl who's addicted to MAC and who's there every weekend, and of course the boyfriend who supports the girlfriend's addiction..hehe..Rocky was so shy, the MUAs were just like "you're back", Rocky whispers "Gosh Dang we're like freeeaking celebrities here..hahaha..lol..SO anyhoo, they take out my bag of goodies, i was so excited, it wasn't as big as the one i had last week though since i already got most of the stuff..then excitement ended shortly after when they said, we're out of the Verve-a-cious IPP..oh how i hate it when i had the chance to get it, but i didn't then when i finally decide to get, it's sold out..i am so pissed with myself..I had them call the other counters in the area to look for Verve-a-cious but they were all out as well..I then took matters into my own hands, i asked for the number of the MAC counter that was nearer to my house, i called, they said they have 2 left, i was soooo happy we drove back to out city to go to that mall..only to find out..IT WASN'T ACTUALLY THE COUNTER THE MA TOLD ME IT WAS..and to make it worse, it was actually the counter which was in the same mall we were..i was sooo mad..and since i didn't want to drive back there *it's kinda far* i called another counter not too far from where we were..and to no surprise they didn't have it either..my last resort, the counter that's like 2 minutes away from our place, they probably don't get as much customers as the other counters i usually go to..they still had a few left, i, all of a sudden felt relieved *sigh for relief*..i almost missed out on that one..we immediately went and picked up my very hard to find Verve-a-cious IPP..gaah..i was sooooo HAPPY!!!..Kudos to the boyfriend who drove me around, didn't give up 'til we found it..This is one of the countless reasons why i love him..He's always there for me even for make-up hunting..lol

EDIT: My version that is! I know most of you ladies passed up on the Fafi Eyes 1 and grabbed 2 instead. i got both. This quad houses colors that are workable *with each other*, and wearable. This quad is best for those who are starting on make-up since it has the basic colors that will let you create numerous looks, from subtle day looks to smoky-eye night looks..i love it!

my baby turns 3 months old today!

i know i have mentioned in my post way back that we were getting a dog..i actually feel bad that i haven't talked about her here, haven't even posted any pictures of her..so this post is dedicated to our baby..

HAPPY 3rd..uhm..well..MONTHSARY?

She was born in November 21, 2007

We got MICHIKO, (that's beauty in Japanese) when she was about 6 weeks, just big enough for her to be separated from her mommy..me and the bf, guilty as charged for spoiling her, from COACH collar to toys, treats, the best not to mention, expensive dog food and of course her cute outfits..i will get her a bed soon..i think she's old enough to have her own bed..

She is just the cutest..i won't exchange her for the world..even if that means i'd have to clean her pee and poop all the time..lol..She is also the sweetest, when i get home from work, she would be all over me, kissing - licking, cuddling and all the sweet stuff..i love her so much!..she may be a brat sometimes, but it's okay, the bf's more of the disciplinarian, and i am more of a spoiler, so everything balances out..hehe..Let me tell you, having a dog is like having a real baby, when i work and leave her by herself, i couldn't to go home and be with her..Last week, she fell in my friend's pool, i don't know how, but she did..and i just ran as fast as i could, and got her out..i just found tears in my eyes..i was so frrrreeakin worried!..i would spank her if she doesn't poop and pee on her pad, but after a second i'd be kissing her and saying sorry..i know, bad parenting..lol..but anyhoo, you get the idea..she is spoiled..hmm..and fat too..she is kinda big for 3 month-old puppy..she weighs about 9 pounds..hehe..so without further ado i introduce you our baby..MICHIKO..

I mentioned in my other post that Nice Vice is already sold out in the website..i know, right?..that fast..i am just happy that i was able to grab it before they ran out!..But hold up, relax..i was browsing through macpro.com and i saw Nice Vice and it didn't have the diamond sign which indicates that a product is only available for a limited time..so i'm guessing it is permanent, but exclusive in Pro stores only..hmm..that doesn't worry me anymore, if EVER i ran out, i'll know where to go..Vegas!..yay!

I went to MAC today to get my Fafi!.. : )

The long wait is finally over..i can't even remember when i first found out about this color story, but i am damn sure it was a long time ago *thanks to fellow bloggers, Pursebuzz and of course, Specktra*. It kinda sucked that i wasn't able to get 'em on the release date itself, because i had to work and the free standing store is a bit far from us. But. everything's okay now, i am happy.. : ) ..
So i mentioned in my last night's entry that i called MAC last night to have the stuff on hold to also make sure that my MA gets her commission..so i entered the store, i looked for Hilda *the girl whom my MA endorsed me to* and she brings out this big bag filled with the Fafi stuff with my name on it..i just heard the heavens sing..not as loud though when i went to the Pro store in Vegas, but you get the idea.. hehehe..My MA, Christine, had each and every single item from the collection on hold for me..lol..i was just suprised. :) Then, i also had my make-up done, good thing they weren't fully booked today, or else i would've been so disappointed since i really wanted that freakin' cute heart painted on my face. : )

Hmm..so the stuff that i got..Hmm..i KINDA got carried away..tsk..i know most of you ladies were disappointed with this collection since colors weren't as vibrant as the packaging, some were even disappointed with the packaging itself since the design wasn't painted but were just stickers..But here i am thinking, "well, since i'm collecting, might as well, get most of the stuff"..and it can't be that bad, right..MAC is still MAC..if that makes sense. I mean, i was already all giddy and excited about this collection to pass up on most of it..I was also surprised that everything that i got was under $300..well, that's for Fafi alone..and another $30 something for 1 blush and an eyeshadow refill pan..

Lately the boyfriend and i have been arguing about me taking so much time do get ready..Do you ladies have the same problem?..i usually take at least 2 hours to 2 1/2 to get ready just for work which is nothing fancy, really..That's 20 minutes to take a shower, an hour for make-up and about 30-40 minutes for hair (as i NEED to straighten it)..but if i am REALLY running late i usually tie it in a ponytail.. It's just putting on make-up that i can't seem to cut the time..*sigh*..and it's not even full-on smokey eye look or a look that consists of 6 eye shadow colors..lol..these are just plain and simple neutral looks like what you see in my fotds..it's so bad i even thought of just giving up on wearing make-up to work, and just wear it on weekends or special occassions which does not happen often..so that would mean, me NOT BEING ABLE TO UPDATE MY BLOG! gaaaaah..nooooo!..so ladies out there who have the same problem as i do (even if not this bad)...help out a sister!..i need your recommendations, suggestions?

On another note, we are coming closer and closer to the release day of Fafi..hmm..9 more days to go!..i don't think i'll be able to get it on the release day itself since i work late that day..I might have to wait until that Saturday..or if i get my lazy ass up early on Friday then i could squeeze it in before i go to work. however, i am really not too sure on what i will get..as we're getting closer to the big day, i am getting less excited about it. i was planning to get both quads, all the paint pots except for maybe the powder blue one (since i already have the one from McQueen), both the blushes, a couple of the iridescent powders, a couple lipglasses, and maybe 1 or 2 lipsticks..it doesn't sound a lot, does it MAC whores?..Rocky (the bf) even wants me to get the whole collection since i missed Barbie last year..but i don't know.. as i've read someone who've seen the swatches say that there aren't really anything special in this collection other than the cute packaging. and packaging isn't what we are going to wear right?..i don't know if this collection is worth spending $400 for, or if i should wait until Heatherette..hmm..what ya'll ladies think?..any thoughts?gaaah..i worry too much..lol..

Sorry..i haven't had time to update my blog..But..

i had time to haul yesterday..lol...:)..i know i said "no more until fafi" but we went to the mall (where they had a free standing store) for my mom's birthday..but relax ladies, this time i didn't spend over $100..i just picked me up a few eyeshadow refills, a lipglass and a pigment..that was it..again, i didn't bother taking pictures of my mini haul since it was just a few items. but here's a list of what i got:

i was going to post an fotd of like a colorful look that i did tonight, however..i didn't like how it came out, so never mind..hehe..

i think i've been doing too much neutral looks that i've already forgotten working with colors..i think i need to brush up on my make-up skills..oh well..i'll try again.

on a different note, i really like the look i had on today for work..uhm, well..it's a neutral look again *LOL*. i used MAC's nano gold as my main lid color..may i say that, nano gold's a betch!..i had a hard time getting color off of it. i mean it's a pretty color and all, but you'd have to like swipe/dip your brush in the pot 20870570 times to get a good color pay off..BUT..i like how the whole look came out..very subtle.. i didn't take pictures so i don't have an fotd but i'll probably wear this look again tomorrow and i'll make sure to take pictures..

It's my day off, meaning mall time! Can ya'll tell there's not much to do here in AZ but go to the mall..LOL..

The boyfriend and i went to a free standing store in Scottsdale so i can get refill pans. EDIT: this was supposedly last Tuesday's post

yep..you read that right! three and a half furrreeeakin hours late..that's like the worst ever, i know i have this BAD habit of being late, but gaaaah! 3 1/2 hours is BAAAAD!!!..i slept in, that's why..i was supposed to wake up at like 5am 'cause i work at 6 but when i woke up, the sun was already out, without even looking at the time, i knew that i was already LATE!..so i immediately called my co-worker, then the boss, i told him the truth of course, and he just laughed at me..hehe..today was like really a short day.

i did a super duper mini MAC haul today. Pursebuzz's review on the N collection made me want to get another Light Flush "with more veins", she said, for more shimmer. After i saw her video, which was like late last night, i was itching to go to a MAC store and pick one from their stock with a lot of veins. so after work, i got ready, and headed to the mall..Since we're pressed for time, as always 'cause the bf's working tonight, we went to the nearest one, the MAC counter that i really don't like going to, but i had no choice it's either i go there and get it today or wait til this weekend. we get there and i explain to the MA what i wanted, that i already have one, blah blah blah and i want the one with a lot of veins, and she looks at me all weirded-out like, "what is this girl talking about?" blah blah blah until she understood what i really wanted, she brought out like 5, and had me choose, they all looked the same though, she even explained to me that i usually get to the shimmer-y part after i break down the first layer, but i was like "well, then i'm still getting one for back up, maybe" i just ended up picking the one that had the biggest crack (vein).. and i also got 1N, as ya'll know, i am not a fan of lip stuff, but i really dig nude shades.. :) i guess that's REALLY it for me from this collection, i know i've said that in my other entry but oh well, i promise, that's it!..

hmm..i had my hair cut today too!..after 92040287 years of not having style to it, i actually had the courage to go the salon and have it cut..lol..the last trim that i had was ages ago and was done by no other than the bf!..hehe..so this was a big change for me.

okay..so i've been doing neutral looks these past few days.. maybe 'cause it's so much easier and faster to do than colorful make-up. i think, neutral eyes don't need much blending, eh? i am so loving neutral looks!!

Today's FOTD
it was today that i first tried using Maybelline Mineral Liquid Foundation, and i am really happy about the outcome. At first i was kinda skeptical of buying this 'cause of my bad experiences with drugstore foundation in the past. But, after reading Vanessa's review on this product, i just felt like i have to try it. Thanks Vanessa! So, what i think about the product, I like how they have testers for it, drugstore make-up never had any until now, it is SUPER hard to pick the right shade if there aren't testers, since *for me* they all look the same in a sealed bottle. Maybelline also offered a wide variety of shades, enough, i think to match any lady's shade out there. I got Natural Beige which was a bit dark with strong yellow undertones, i swatched it on the back of my hand and it just blended with my skin color, so i was like, "i found my match"..LOL..I was so excited to use it today, so when i got home from work, i "played" with it..I love it even more applied with a 187 brush. It just felt so natural, and the coverage is amazing. You'll see in the pictures. And ooh, i also got the Powder form, i haven't tried it yet, but can't wait to see how that one goes.

Thank God it's Friday!..i got 2 days to slack off..i need to do our laundry, and reward myself later with a MAC haul..haha..i don't know, i guess it has become a weekend thing for me. I plan to go the the free standing store so i can get pan refills, other than that, i don't know what else to get..Maybe a few pigments. I really want to get the reflects glitter transparent teal, ordering it from the website would be my last resort so i'll try getting it tomorrow. So far, i've only tried 3 MAC counters and they are all out..

I didn't work until 2pm today, this morning i went to CVS to see what good deals they have, and oh was i blown away by BOGO, 50-75% off, etc. I wanted to get the HIP pigments, but i think i was still half asleep, i couldn't really decide which i wanter. But after i saw the swatch on Vanessa's blog, i thought, "Damn, why didn't i get that???" so i might pass by CVS again tomorrow. the only thing i got from the huge sale, was one eyeshadow..ONE..it's Revlon's Diamond Lust e/s in..i have to check later..i am too lazy to go upstairs and check..i also got 2 EoB crease brushes, similar to MAC's 219. that was it..it was too early for me to be hauling..and oh, Vanessa, Oreo cakesters is the shiiiiit.. :) they really are good..lol

i'm tired. i have stick a toothpick under my lids to keep my eyes open..lol. i really wanted my SUPPOSEDLY Tuesday entry done. BUT Photobucket is being gay and they're having this maintenance thing. Yay for day off, gaah i am so burned out with my job already, 2 days off is not enough anymore..so i am so relieved that i am off today, the bf however isn't, i know, bummer.. i wanted to do something before he goes to work so we just ended up going to the mall. there's not much that we can do anyway, since we're pressed for time. I didn't go crazy though, like i always do, Charlotte Russe had a good deal, 5 for $20 i got three dressy tops, a sweater and pretty pretty dress, which is my favorite out of the all the stuff that i got..Anyways, after Charlotte Russe we went straight to Nordstroms to get a few stuff from MAC..a few, ok.. ;) I wanted to get reflects antique gold but sadly, they didn't have it, all they had left is the pink one, which didn't really interest me. They had like 3 other pigments on display that weren't from the Originals collection, including Sweet Sienna, i asked for it, but they didn't have it!..what a teaser!..another thing that i got from the same collection was Charred e/s. I didn't bother getting it before because in the pot it looks very similar to similar to black tied which i already have, but when swatched on hand, it totally looked different..and i think that will do it for me from the originals. Another eye shadow that i got was Rich Flesh, from the N collection, i was actually looking for a soft brown/taupe color, more for an everyday look, she recommended Rich Flesh, which i was already eyeing too..and i think that'll also do it for me from the N collection. The other stuff don't interest me anymore, i think they were sticking too much to the "theme" of the collection which is NUDE, therefore, they didn't have great color pay-off. Ok on with the haul, it ain't over yet!..i also got three brushes, the 187, 168 and the 252. I actually have the 187LE and the 168LE from the Heirloom Brush set (Holiday Collection), i think they're ok but i feel like quality isn't comparable to the full size ones. For example, the 187LE *which i use to apply my liquid foundation, and MSFs, it's soft alright, but i find that it sheds, not a lot, but it does, and i hate seeing pieces of hair sticking to my foundation, i like it but then again, i don't love it. Next, the 168LE that i mostly use for contour and highlight, i don't really like this one, because it's a bit harsh on my skin, it scratches, and i think it's not as full as i think it should be. A similar brush that i got from CVS is in my opinion better than the 168LE..yep..i love EoB brushes too!..ok so anyhoo, i got the full size ones and oh boy am i happy that i did..enough said!...with the 252, i got it because i've tried using the 252LE that my friend got awhile back, and i like how it picks up a lot of color and packs it on nicely on the lids, i also like that you can use it for powder as well as emollient based products such as concealers, paintpots, cream color base and what-not.

Again, Charred would be on the left and next to it is black tied. they look similar in this photo and but "in person" they are different, will also depend on the base that you'll use, i actually used bare study p/p under these, maybe that's why they really look the same here, when the MA swatched it earlier in the store, they were really different *she swatched it without any base though*

the one on the right is MAC's Golden Olive pigment, to its left is NYX Loose Pearl Mania in Lime, good dupe huh?..i can't even tell the difference..

the browns on top of Charred and Black tied, left is Rich Flesh, and right is Handwritten--i don't even know why i put it on there..hehe..no point of comparison. Rich flesh blended right onto my skin, it's very nude indeed.

I did a mini MAC haul this past Sunday and also Today. I have that thinking that if I don't get everything in one trip (to the MAC store) then I am saving money, when truth is, i don't, i spend the same amount of money, or sometimes even more. gaaah..Anyhoo, N collection came out a few days ago, i wasn't really excited about this collection since it's just too plain for me, but that's the whole point of the collection right?..nude, natural, neutral. The eye shadows that came in this collection were, in my opinion, nothing special. I mean, for me, the reason why i always look forward to the new MAC collections is because they are different from what they have in their permanent line, but this one i feel was just like blah. oh well, it only means one thing, more money for Fafi and Heatherette, yeah?..no? Being the MAC whore that i am, i still had to get a few stuff from this collection. I just have love for the MSF's, my first one was New Vegas which came out not too long ago, i know, i wish i was already in to MAC when the others came out, so now, i feel like i have some catching up to do, so i got both..At first i was only thinking of getting Light Flush, but when i actually saw them in the store, i just couldn't decide which one to get as they are both GORGEOUS, i asked the bf to decide for me, he told me to get both, so i did..hehe..And the last thing i got (from the N collection), which i just got today was Nano Gold eyeshadow. I was randomly watching videos on youtube and i came across P0WP0WBABY'S videos, and she had a review on the products she got from this collection, and she totally sold me on it. So, after work i immediately ran to the nearest MAC to get that eyeshadow. Today, i also got 2 pigments from The Originals Collection, steel blue and melon. I used to not like pigments because i think they're too expensive plus you won't ever get to finish the whole jar, but the bf insisted that i should start collecting them too, and who can resist more make-up, eh?..So yea, that's it, not too much, as i am really trying my best to save money for the upcoming collections.
Oh, as for the non-MAC products, i went to Sephora last Sunday too to get the infamous Shu Uemura lash curler. I've been looking for a good one, and i've found it. I used to own a cheap one, from a drugstore and i just hated how it hurt my lids, so i would usually skip curling my lashes and jump right onto applying mascara. With the stuff i read and watch from people's blogs and tutorial vids, i have come to learn how much big of a difference it makes when you curl your lashes. A quick review or what i think about this product **as it doesn't need more raving about**i just love this eyelash curler, it doesn't pinch my lids, it doesn't hurt me at all. It may be a little bit pricey but i think it's well worth your money. The only thing i don't like about this one, is that they don't sell the pads/refill seperately, it comes with an extra one though. However, it is advised that you change the pads every 6 months, i guess i'd just have to buy another one after one year. as i've said, it is worth it..hmm..what else, i also got one more stack of the Charlotte Russe Minerals that i love so much, the purples, something different. I don't own a lot of purples 'cause i think it make my eyes look all bruised..hehe..but i'll try to post a look using those gorgeous colors, maybe later this week. I also got the new Maybelline Define-A-Lash mascara, the reason, the hot pink bottle, but i actually ended up liking the product itself, it indeed does the job, so i'm happy. And lastly, i bought Maybelline's Mineral *Liquid* Concealer, i haven't actually used it yet, but i will let ya'll know how it goes once i do.
